Why I created Local Biz Spotlight
Hi, I'm Liza.
I'm a local small business owner and the owner of Nana's Hot Grill here in Palm Harbor.
I created Local Biz Spotlight because I know how difficult and expensive advertising can be for small businesses. Mailing 5,000 postcards on your own can be expensive.
So instead, I created a way for local businesses to share the cost of printing and postage while still getting their business directly into thousands of local homes.
And because I believe local businesses should support one another, each mailer limits businesses by industry so you aren't placed next to your direct competitor.

Where do the mailers go?+
Each mailer goes to approximately 5,000 homes around one Tampa Bay neighborhood, plaza or small town. This one mails to the Palm Harbor 34683 area.
What card options do you offer?+
Two: our oversized 9x12 postcard, mailed to about 5,000 homes (single spaces, or a double space that's about the size of a regular postcard), and our 6.5x11 Community Coupon Card, mailed to about 2,500 homes. Both are double-sided with 8 spots on each side.
How much does a spot cost?+
On the 9x12 postcard a single space is $475 and a double space is $900. A spot on the Community Coupon Card is $195. Current prices are always shown on the card itself.
What's a double space?+
Two side-by-side spaces on the 9x12 combined into one bigger ad, about the size of a regular postcard. Choose 'Double Space' when you pick your spot.
How many businesses are featured?+
Each card has 8 spots on each side, and spots are first come, first served.
Can my competitor advertise on the same card?+
No. We allow only one business per industry on each mailer. Once your category is reserved, no other business in that category can reserve a spot on that mailer.
Do I need to pay to reserve my spot?+
No payment is required to reserve your spot. You'll pay only after you've reviewed and approved your ad proof.
Can I provide my own advertisement?+
Yes! If you already have a finished ad, upload it when you reserve. There is no design fee.
Can you design my advertisement?+
Absolutely. Choose 'I'd like you to create it' when you reserve, send us your logo, photos and offer, and we'll design it for you.
What does ad design cost?+
$25 for a single space or coupon, and $50 for a double space or feature ad. If you provide your own finished ad, there's no design fee.
When do I pay?+
After you approve your ad proof. You'll get an email with a secure payment link, and you can also pay from your dashboard.
What happens after I approve my ad?+
Once your ad is approved and paid, it's locked in. When all spots are finalized, the card goes to print and is mailed. We'll email you at each step.
What happens if the mailer does not fill?+
We'll keep you updated. If a mailer can't go out as planned, we'll contact you about a new mail date or a full refund of anything you've paid.
Can I cancel my reservation?+
Yes. Since no payment is required to reserve, you can cancel any time before you pay. Just contact us. After payment, please contact us and we'll work with you.
Can I track my ad?+
Yes. Log in to your dashboard any time to see your reservation status, review your proof, and follow your ad from reservation to mailbox.
